Origin of the Day of Hygiene and Safety at Work in Argentina
The Day of Hygiene and Safety at Work because on April 21, 1972 , Law 19,587 on Hygiene and Safety at Work was enacted in the country; the cornerstone of the norm regarding the prevention of occupational accidents throughout the Argentine territory.
According to the World Labor Organization, the global cost of occupational accidents and diseases derived from the profession is equivalent to 4% of GDP. In our country, there is the Permanent Commission on Occupational Safety and Medicine, which is made up of prominent institutions and prominent professionals in the field of safety and hygiene at work.
